CARMEL, Ind. – Merchants Bank of Indiana (NASDAQ: MBIN) (“Merchants Bank”) today announces the hirings of Jarek Koperski as a Mortgage Loan Originator and Marquisha Bridgeman as Vice President, Community and Business Banking Partnerships. Koperski will be based out of the company’s Chicago office and Bridgeman will work from the Merchants Bank headquarters in Carmel.
Koperski brings nearly a decade of experience to his new role at Merchants Bank. He most recently served as senior associate at Fairway IMC in Skokie, Illinois, north of Chicago, where he counseled prospective applicants and executed tailored financing strategies for each applicant. In this role, he was also responsible for analyzing loan applicant documents, maintaining loan applicant databases, and establishing long-term relationships with local real estate agents. In Koperski’s new capacity, he will consult with clients and prospects, regarding their home borrowing needs, offering a variety of mortgage loan products. Koperski has extensive experience working with first-time homebuyers and current homeowners, providing guidance and support throughout the entire process.

Bridgeman earned her Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership and Design from the University of Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree in business and human resource management from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
The Vice President of Community and Business Banking Partnerships role is newly created by Merchants Bank. In this commercial banking role, Bridgeman will support local businesses, community development groups and non-profit organizations to advance economic development opportunities in Marion and Hamilton counties.
